Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to marry on May 19

London, Dec. 15 (Notimex).- Kensington Palace announced today that Prince Harry will marry his fiancée Meghan Markle on May 19, 2018 at Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of Queen Elizabeth II. "His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales and Meghan Markle will be married on May 19, 2018", the palace announced on Twitter. The wedding will take place in the chapel of St. George at Windsor Castle, the same place where Prince Charles and Camila received a blessing 12 years ago after marrying in the civil registry. The chapel of St. George, which has hosted the wedding of kings and queens in the past, has a capacity for 800 people, much smaller compared to the Westminster Abbey or the Cathedral of St. Paul that can accommodate two thousand guests. The couple announced their commitment on November 27 in the midst of expectations about the date, the place, and all the details that accompany the expected wedding. The American actress, who is known as Rachel Zane on the popular television series "Suits" will be baptized and confirmed in the Anglican church before the wedding, official sources confirmed a few weeks ago. The couple who secretly engaged in early November met through a mutual friend and for months kept their relationship away from the press. The 33-year-old Prince and 36-year-old Meghan offered their first interview to the British BBC after announcing their commitment in November to share details of their engagement, and plans. The couple has captured the spotlight of the press since their first appearance together in the gardens of Kensington Palace, followed by their visit to a charity organization to fight against AIDS on December 1. Markle and the fifth in the line of succession of the British crown will celebrate with Queen Elizabeth II and other close members of the royal family their first Christmas at the residence of Sandringham, in the English countryside, on December 25.
