Magazine on diffusion and advances of the space sector is presented

Mexico, Dec. 15 (Notimex) .- The Mexican Space Agency (AEM, for its acronym in Spanish) hosted the launch of the magazine MXSpace Magazine, an effort of the Mexican Space Initiative MX Space, a non-profit civil association that, in collaboration with a group of leading companies, redoubles efforts to promote a Mexican high-value-added space industry. "Absolutely indispensable the work of dissemination of the space sector in this era where their subjects are no longer limited to research and academia, but represent a business niche to capture the great talent of our generations of young people who gain skills abroad, and that fill us with pride", said the general director of the AEM, Francisco Javier Mendieta Jiménez. He reiterated the support that the Agency offers to initiatives such as MX Space, with which he signed a collaboration agreement in 2015, which is part of a collective strategy to the strategic challenges of the sector, emphasizing that being united and articulated in a "triple helix" (academia, industry, government) will achieve better results for the Mexican space industry. When presenting the magazine, its editor José Oldak said that they work to be the national reference for communication in the space sector, to inform, entertain and generate a dialogue about new technological trends, innovative projects", the broad world of science and everything that surrounds the infinite theme of space". He added that the objective of this citizen initiative is to cover all the news of the Mexican and world space, such as events, conferences, courses, interviews and general content, bringing together all the advances and progress that the industry is experiencing and how it is reflected in improvements for the daily life. In this first issue, the main theme is "Vision: Mexico, global space power", and a topic that stands out is the historical impulse of the Presidency of the Republic to the spatial development of the country initiated in the present administration.
