Air route Mexico City-Cancun was the busiest in America

Dallas, Dec. 15 (Notimex).- The air route between Mexico City and Cancún, Quintana Roo, was ranked as the busiest passenger traffic in the entire continent over the last year, according to an investigation by Routes Online, a digital publication dedicated to information on the aviation industry. Almost 3.7 million passengers traveled the thousand 294 kilometers between Mexico City and Cancun in the year between November 1, 2016 and October 31, 2017, making this route the busiest route in the entire continent, the publication indicated. The average cost of a ticket on this route was 72 dollars, said Routes Online, which ranked the second busiest the Los Angeles (LAX) with New York (JFK) route, with 2.8 million people who traveled between the two cities of the east and west coast of the United States. That route, of 3,982 kilometers, is the longest among the 10 busiest on the continent and the most expensive: a one-way ticket costs an average of 338 dollars. The third busiest route in the last year is the one that connects Mexico City with Monterrey, the third largest city in Mexico and the capital of the state of Nuevo León. Routes placed the routes from New York (La Guardia) to Chicago (O 'Hare), which attracted 2.3 million passengers, and that from San Francisco to Los Angeles, with 2.2 million passengers, in fourth and fifth place. The other five routes located among the 10 busiest were Guadalajara-Mexico City; Los Angeles-Seattle-Tacoma; San Francisco-New York (JFK); New York (La Guardia) -Atlanta and Orlando-Newark.
