Peña Nieto promotes decree of Mexico-Turkey Agreement for investment protection

Mexico, Dec. 15 (Notimex).- President Enrique Peña Nieto promulgated the decree of the Agreement between the Government of the United Mexican States and the Government of the Republic of Turkey for the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments, made in Ankara on December 17, 2013. In the document published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, it is indicated that on December 17, 2013, in Ankara, the Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States, duly authorized for that purpose, signed the Agreement for Promotion ad referendum and Reciprocal Protection of Investments with the Government of the Republic of Turkey. The Senate of the Honorable Congress of the Union approved the aforementioned Agreement, on October 3, 2017; according to a decree published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on November 17 of the same year. The publication states that this decree will enter into force on December 17.
