Viva Aerobus opens direct flights Guadalajara-Los Angeles

Los Angeles, Dec. 15 (Notimex).- The Mexican airline Viva Aerobus opened direct flights between the Californian city of Los Angeles and Guadalajara, capital of the western state of Jalisco. The general director of the airline, Juan Carlos Zuazua, and the Mexican consul in Los Angeles, Carlos García de Alba, participated in the opening ceremony of the flight. "The start of this route will stimulate commerce, business and tourism, by strengthening connectivity between both countries at affordable prices", said Zuazua at the Flight Path Museum and Learning Center, near the Los Angeles International Airport. Viva Aerobus started operations in 2006 and operates 23 Airbus A320s on 88 routes to 37 different destinations. The airline offers the lowest rates in the country and Latin America. Tickets for this new route, which will begin operations on December 16, are already on sale. The Office of Tourism and Conventions of Los Angeles calculates that with this new route some 18 thousand tourists from Guadalajara will travel to Los Angeles during the first year of operation.
