Agreement prohibiting export of goods to Yemen is modified

Mexico, Dec. 11 (Notimex) .- The Ministry of Economy (SE, for its acronym in Spanish) made public the agreement amending the diverse, through which the export or import of various goods to countries, entities and individuals coming from or related to Yemen is prohibited. The agency explained that this is done in accordance with the fact that the United Nations Security Council, of which Mexico is member, adopted a resolution to implement measures to keep international peace and security. Such measures aim to prevent the sale, supply or transfer of arms and related material of all kind, including weapons and ammunition, military vehicles and equipment, paramilitary equipment and the corresponding spare parts. It said that specifically those for Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh, Ali Abdullah Saleh, Abdullah Yahya Al-Hakim and al-Khaliq Abd Al-Huthi. As well as people acting on behalf of the above mentioned or under their direction in Yemen, or in benefit of any of them, among other people and entities designated by the safety committee of the international organization. Thus, it reported that the export of goods to the Republic of Yemen, among which armored fighting vehicles and helicopters to be used by armed forces stand out, is prohibited. As well as, jet engine aircrafts, aircraft for military use, landing gears and their parts, parachutes and vessels for military use, among others. NTX / MCC / SGSR
