Mexico, Sep. 8 (Notimex).- Cooks and specialists from Yucatán will represent Mexico on September 11 and 12 in a meeting with their counterparts in Italy, in which they will share experiences on protecting the gastronomic heritage. This will take place as part of the activities of the Food Expo in Milan, which began last May and this weekend will have the Mexico-Italy day. According to the Conservatory of Mexican Gastronomic Culture (CCGM, for its acronym in Spanish), it is about analyzing their role as carriers of the culinary heritage in the rescue and protection of the essential values which support the regional cuisines of both countries. The Mexican delegation will be led by Gloria López Morales with the participation of Margarita Carrillo, Pedro Evia and a group of cooks and specialists from Yucatán. Promoted by the Conservatory, with the support of the Federal Ministry of Tourism through the Touristic Promotion Council of Mexico, the Ministry of Tourism from Yucatan and the Foreign Affairs, the exchange days will show to the world the supply of food tourism that the country has as world heritage. The dialogue will take place in the morning and evening with sessions of four hours each, intended for discussion among cooks from Yucatan representing Mexico and Emilia Romagna representing Italy. The program will include samples and tastings of products and it will culminate with a dinner demonstration based on Mexican products.
